Notification Setup

Notification settings determine how notifications are sent to approval users.

It is possible to set up approval for each user individually (button Notification Setup On the overview Approval User Setup) or for all together and equally (we will use and describe this way).

If the alert settings are set Through a magnifying glass Workflow Notification Setup, the approval process will be common to each user, there is no need to set it up for each user individually.

For the approval process, you need to set up notification types:

  • Approval

  • Overdue

Fields to set:

  • Notification Type

    • Option with values:

      • New Record

        • sends notifications when a new record is created

      • Approval

        • sends notifications of the creation of an item for approval

      • Overdue

        • sends reminders if the approver has not approved/rejected within the set deadline

  • Notification Method

    • Option with values:

      • Email (Email)

        • Sends email notifications via Outlook

      • Caution (Note)

        • Sends notifications via internal functionality Notification

  • Schedule

    • It is set via a button Alert schedule (Notification Schedule) for each row separately:

      • Instantly

        •  We use this method for requests for approval

      • Daily

        • We will use the following to remind you of expired approval requests:

          • For this option, it is also possible to set the exact hour within the day. The recommendation is to set the time before the start of working hours

          • It is also possible to set whether emails should be sent on weekdays (Weekday option) or calendar days (Daily option)

      • Weekly

        • We do not use it, so we do not provide a more detailed description

      • Monthly

        • We do not use it, so we do not provide a more detailed description
