Tire Service - RIM

Tire Service - RIM

The Tire Service – Rims is defined in the Rim price list, where the prices for individual rims are also listed. The rim is identified by its technical data and according to this technical data, the correct rim from the price list is searched for in the calculation, i.e. the technical parameters from the price list are paired with the technical parameters of the object tire. In the definition of the tire service – Rim, it is possible to define discounts from suppliers according to individual types of rims, which are added to the rim price list.

    • The user also has the option to fill in this field using the Add valid to button, but only to the row where the value of this field is Blank

Automatic price list update

Whenever a record is changed (adding a new one, changing an existing one (any field), deleting an existing one) in the Rim Discounts code list, an automatic function is triggered that pulls the current discount from the Rim Discounts dial list to the Rim Pricelist code list, i.e. it sets the current value in the "Rim Discount in %" field, depending on the rim type, supplier and discount validity for those Rim Pricelist items that have the value of the field Do Not Offer=NO.

At the same time, the value of the field is calculated:

  • Discount Price Excl. VAT =List Price Excl. VAT * Rim Discount % / 100

The Rim Pricelist is used to record suppliers' price lists with rim technical data and price. The records are then used to calculate the rim service.

Working with Rims Pricelist

To import tires, in the Rim Pricelist window that opens, click on button Import.

When you click on the import function, a window will open Import Rim Pricelistto enter more detailed import information (Vendor No., Rim Code, Service Type).

Importing (updating) the price list will follow these steps:

  • After modifying the vendor price list into a universal import file, the user starts the import. Selects the Tire Vendor whose price list you want to import, Rim Code, and Service Type.

  • The system then fills in the Rim Pricelist table, which:

  • According to the supplier specified by the user and the Service Type, it determines the relevant valid purchase discount from the Rim Discounts table, which it uses to calculate and complete the Price Excl. VAT in the Rim Pricelist table

  • If it finds an entry in the Rim Pricelist table that has the same Tire Code as the Code from the imported price list in combination with the Vendor No., it will update the List Price Excl. VAT, Rim Discount % (depending on the validity of the discount), Price After Discount excl. VAT of the rim

  • If no such record is found in the Rim Pricelist table, the system creates a new record (rim) in the database

  • If the system does not find a record with the same Rim Code in combination with the Vendor No. that is located in the OC but is not listed in the import file, then the Do Not Offer field will be checked and it will not be used further (it will not enter the subject and therefore the calculation)

  • If the system does not find a record in the Rim Width or Rim Diameter code list, then the system will insert a new value from the import file into these code lists and add it to the price list after the record is created.

After successful completion/processing of the import, the system displays a message indicating how many new records have been inserted or updated.
