By default, it is not possible to add, change or remove contract guarantees, co-guarantors and contract guarantee objects in statuses that require changes only in the change copy (according to the settings in the table Detailed Contract Statuses – Change without Change List), Specifically, in this chapter we are talking about tables:

  • Contract Guarantee (4026447)

  • Co-Guarantor (4026443))

  • Contract Guarantee Object (4026448)

However, there is an exception for users who have the "Allow Guarantee Editing Without Change Copy" flag enabled in the "User Settings" code list. In this case, the user can change the Contract Guarantee, co-guarantors and the objects of the Contract Guarantee without a change copy.

If the user does not have the "Allow Guarantee Editing Without Change Copy" flag enabled in the "User Settings" code list and tries to create a contract guarantee, co-guarantor or subject of contract guarantee on a contract that is in a state requiring a change copy, then the system displays the message:

For editing/deletion, the tables are either uneditable or an error message is displayed:

"It is not possible to change contract xy in detailed status xy if a change copy is required."

In order to establish/change/delete a guarantee, co-guarantor or subject of guarantee, the user must create a change copy according to the procedure in Chapter II. Create a change copy. The change must be made on the change copy and transferred to the original.
