Contract Changes Without Creation Change Copy/Variant

If the relevant settings allow such a change to be made (Flag Change without Change List=A on Detailed Status), the user can make the necessary change by simply rewriting the field on the contract / object / insurance contract card.

We recommend that you use this method of making changes only for states Before Contract ActivationTo what extent in this case the contract history does not record when, who and what change was made. These changes can only be traced if the so-called change logging has been turned on for the relevant table.

Making a change to customer/supplier data - Customer details can only be changed on the customer's contact card. Changed data is transferred from the contact card to the customer card, customer framework agreement card, object card, etc. Changing the supplier's data works on a similar principle.

Making a Change to Object Data - It is possible to change the subject data without creating a change copy, if the detailed contract status is lower than the Active status (according to the current parameterization of detailed statuses). For other detailed statuses, the system does not allow to make (save) any change to the object without creating a change copy/calculation variant. An exception for detailed statuses Active and higher is if changes to the course data are made by a user who has the Allow editing of course data without change copy parameter enabled in User Settings.
