Reinsurance Contract

Settings for over-insurance

In order to successfully reinsure existing insurance contracts, the user must prepare for the new insurance contracts Framework Insurance Contract, Insurance Set, and Insurance Rates with the applicable conditions for the period in which it is necessary to re-insure.


Reinsurance of insurance contracts

Job Reinsurance of insurance contracts Can be run from the Role Center Insurance across Actions/Changes/Reinsurance of Insurance Contracts (Overinsurance Contract).

When the task starts, the system displays a dialog box for you to enter the parameters.

The user can run the task for review – they do not check the Execute field and enter selection filters.

Filters can be selected from the header of Financing Contract, Financed Object, Insurance Contract.

On the insurance contracts tab, the user selects the area they want to re-insure. All currently entered filters are applied.

On the Options tab, the user specifies:

  • New Framework Agreement

    • No. of the framework agreement to which the new insurance contracts will be transferred

  • New Product Variant Code

    • The code of the product variant that will be used when creating new insurance contracts

    • Required field

  • New Set No.

    • Set number that will be used when creating new insurance contracts

    • Required field

  • Date of Termination

    • This is the date on which the system terminates the original insurance contracts. New insurance contracts will start the next day

    • Required field

  • Termination Code

    • Termination code that will be overwritten on the original ending insurance contract

  • Execute (Process)

    • A flag that indicates whether reinsurance will be done or is just a checklist

    • If the value is:

      • No

        • The system will only generate a checklist of the contracts that will be affected by the change

      • Yes

        • The system re-insures, i.e. terminates the original insurance contracts and creates new ones.

After entering the parameters and filters, start the task using the buttons Press or Preview.

Without check mark Execute the user has access to the resulting report – it contains an overview of insurance contracts that meet the conditions. On these insurance contracts, the system checks whether there is a suitable rate. Any error message is recorded in the Note column.

It is necessary to check the list of compliant ones – the system will re-insure without change copies. This is an irreversible step.

When the check box is selected Execute The system terminates the original insurance contract on the specified date and creates a new insurance contract (from the next day), which is calculated and stored in the Active.
