The road tax service is one of the most complex services both in terms of definition and calculation. To calculate the road tax service, it is necessary to set default values in various setting tables. Of course, there is the setting of the road tax service itself, which consists of a price list and rates, but also discounts according to age and discounts according to fuel.

Only for Czech or Slovak legislation.

Road Tax Pricelist

The Road Tax Pricelist is used to record road tax and its rates. The records are then used for the calculation of the MOI Tax service.

In the Road Tax Pricelist table, the user enters road tax codes for each object category. The categorization is determined according to the law of the respective state.

Field:

  • Code

    • The user manually enters the unique road tax code

  • Description

    • The user manually enters the road tax description

  • Service Type Code

    • The user selects the Road Tax Service Type Code from the Service Types code list

  • Object Category

    • User selects a value from Passenger Car, Other Vehicle, Electric Vehicle

      • If a passenger car, the OC is based on the cylinder capacity (Engine capacity ccm) from the object card when searching for the road tax code and rate

      • If the Other Vehicle, the OC bases the search for the road tax code and rate on the Maximum or Total Weight on Axles (kg) from the Object Card (and the Number of Axles)

      • If an electric car, the OC uses the Engine Power (kW) from the object card to find the code and the road tax rate (irrelevant for Czech legislation, where electric cars are exempt from road tax via Fuel Types).

  • Engine Capacity From

    • The user manually enters the engine volume from for which the code applies

  • Engine Capacity To Incl.

    • The user manually enters the engine capacity from and including which the code applies

  • No. of Axles

    • The user manually enters the number of axles for which the code applies

      • "1 or 2" can only be selected for Slovak legislation (in Contract with Service Settings'

      • Choose "1" or "2" for Czech legislation

  • Total Object Weight From (Total Object Weight From)

    • The user manually enters the Total Weight in kg from which the code applies

  • Total Object Weight To Incl.

    • The user manually enters the Total Weight in kg from inclusive for which the code applies

  • Engine Power From (kW)

    • The user manually enters the Motor Power from (kW) for which the code applies

  • Engine Power To (kW)

    • The user manually enters the Engine power to (kW) for which the code applies

For the category of passenger cars, it is necessary to enter the interval engine capacity. For other vehicles, it is necessary to enter the total weight and number of axles.

Road Tax Rates

It's important to add a rate to each code. The rate is not set for every year, but only in the event of a legislative change.

To enter the rate, click on the specific road tax code and click on the Rates option on the toolbar

Subsequently, the Road Tax Rates table is displayed, in which the user fills in the year in which (or from) the rate was valid and the amount of the tax rate. If the legislative rate changes, the user creates a new rate for the relevant year and the original rate is automatically terminated.

Field:

  • Road Tax Pricelist Code

    • The system automatically completes the Road Tax Pricelist Code from the Road Tax Pricelist line from which the rates were opened

  • Tax Rate (LCY)

    • Rate for the customer, entered manually by the user. The value is entered into the payment calculation.

  • Valid From

    • The user enters the effective date of the rate.

  • Valid To

    • The field is non-editable. If the user creates a new rate (new line), then the field is filled in automatically by the Day Valid From on the new rate minus one day

Discounts by age of vehicle

The code list is used to record discounts that are applied to the Road Tax service in the calculation depending on the age of the vehicle.

Discounts according to the age of the vehicle are legislatively stipulated by law, the user fills them in manually according to the relevant law.

Field:

  • Code

    • The user manually enters the unique code Discounts according to the age of the vehicle

  • Homologation Class Filter

    • Lookup do API Homologation Class (4026592)/ API Homologation Classes (4026592, List)

    • The user selects the homologation class codes for the row. When you select the next value, the pipe is automatically completed.

  • Discount in %

    • The user manually enters the discount for the specified interval of months

  • Discount Coefficient

    • It is calculated automatically after entering the discount %. It is only an informative value, it is not used in calculations.

  • Interval From (months)

    • The user manually enters the number of months of age of the vehicle from which the discount applies (inclusive)

  • Interval To (months)

    • The user manually enters the number of months of the vehicle's age to which the discount applies

  • Paragraph No. decrease/increase Tax Rates (Paragraph No.)

    • The user enters a paragraph of the law to which the entered discount is linked

    • For SK, the value must be entered in the "číslo_číslo" format, e.g. 7_1 or 7_2 or 7_3

    • The field affects the correct filling of the xml file for generating the road tax return

  • Active

    • The default value is YES. User changes to NO if the discount is no longer to be calculated.

Discounts by fuel type SK only

The code list is used to record discounts that are applied to the Road Tax service in the calculation depending on the type of fuel – Valid only for Slovak legislation. Irrelevant according to Czech legislation, the fuel exemption is solved using the Fuel Types table.

In the table, the user enters a code, discount in %, discount coefficient appropriate for a specific type of fuel, the user fills them in manually according to the relevant law.

Field:

  • Code

    • The user manually enters the unique code Discounts by type of fuel

  • Discount in %

    • The user manually enters the discount for the specified fuel type

  • Discount Coefficient

    • The user manually enters the discount coefficient for the specified fuel type. It is only an informative value, it is not used in calculations.

  • Fuel Type Code

    • The user manually selects the fuel type from the Fuel Type for which the discount applies dial

  • Type

    • The user manually selects the corresponding value from the Hybrid,Gas,Hydrogen option

    • The default value of the field is Hybrid

    • The setting affects the correct XML filling for the tax return from the MOI in line No. 15

  • Active

    • The default value is YES. User changes to NO if the discount is no longer to be calculated.
